We are well aware that the most important thing for you is fluent communication. That’s why we have created a teaching method Effecto®, which is based on communication. It will help you gain practical communication skills quickly and easily while reminding you to use correct grammar in the process.
OUR STUDY METHOD
In our 20+ years of work, the Skrivanek group has gathered a large amount of experience when it comes to teaching languages. Based on that, we have designed a unique teaching method called Effecto®. In our courses, we pay the majority of our attention on what’s important – on your ability to hold a conversation and express your thoughts and ideas fluently.
IMPROVING CONVERSATIONAL LANGUAGE SKILLS WITH PRACTICAL TASKS
At the beginning of every class, we chat on topics from your everyday life, selected according to your current language skill level. You will see that communicating with people gets easier and easier with every lesson.
EVALUATING YOUR LANGUAGE SKILL LEVEL
We will use tests to evaluate your language level throughout the course, not just in the beginning. The results of these tests will allow us to see how you are doing in your journey toward reaching your language goals.
AN ACTIVE START TO THE CLASS
The class begins with conversations on different day-to-day topics. Using the language gets easier and easier with every class.
INSPIRATION TO STRIVE FOR BETTER RESULTS
Prior to starting the course, we will evaluate your skill level. Then, throughout the course, we will keep an eye on your improvement. Lastly, you will take a final test. Getting your test results back is a great way to motivate yourself to move forward.
THE CONTENT OF THE COURSE IS SELECTED ACCORDING TO YOUR WANTS AND NEEDS
You will be able to choose conversation topics. The lecturer will take your expectations into consideration and select the most suitable tasks accordingly.
PRACTICAL AND ENTERTAINING
The majority of the class is dedicated to speaking – students react to situations presented to them on the spot, and due to this they quickly start thinking in the new language. These exercises are especially practical and fun.
GUARANTEED RESULTS
The majority of our attention is paid to conversing and acquiring practical language skills, such as speaking and writing. The results are visible not only after the final test but in real life as well.

I loved the lecturer and his teaching methods. We quickly learned to work hand-in-hand and had a good dynamic. Which was brilliant! The Russian language courses met all of my expectations and helped me gain valuable knowledge. If need be, the classes could be held in an auditorium in order to understand the language better and process the information in an even more effective manner. In order to put the acquired skills to use, the courses should be continued and the skills that were already acquired should be applied in real-life situations.
I was a big fan of the fact that the lecturer was not Lithuanian. This allowed the errors to be corrected when I was speaking (grammar, phrases and expressions, pronunciation). It also allowed me to get acquainted with a different culture as the lecturer was a Briton who has lived and worked in various countries. The classes were filled with positive emotions, they were entertaining and useful. Both me and my colleagues noticed that our fears related to making errors diminished, and at last, disappeared. We started expressing our thoughts and ideas and using English in a more confident manner at the very beginning of the course. This increased one’s confidence immensely. I’m very grateful for the way the lecturer showed me the way, provided structure, and helped me identify what it is I already know and what could be improved. I am also thankful for the recommendations the lecturer gave me.
I only have nice words to say about the lecturer of our group, Gintarė Z. She created a great atmosphere, paid attention to every individual student, emphasized the important bits, and encouraged us to be brave enough to make mistakes and talk a lot. We had a great time!
